Coffee shop fit out

Gilbert & Gregson Construction Limited were contacted by the owners of Stylus Lounge, who had the hope of opening a new coffee and vinyl shop in Baldock, Hertfordshire.

We were tasked with the complete renovation and fit-out of the previous JOR Gilbert electrical goods shop on the High Street. A prestigious location in this North Hertfordshire town.

• Following an extensive design and planning stage, Gilbert Gregson were awarded the contract to transform the shop. The works included: Complete strip-out exposing the existing brickwork on feature walls and oak beams to give a more rustic feel
• Decorative panelling up to and including the dado rail to give a homely feel, including a new fireplace
• An electrical rewire throughout which included new decorative lighting, CCTV and built-in sound system
• Commercial grade vinyl flooring throughout to withstand a busy coffee shop environment
• Painted and redecorated throughout including the renovation of the original shop front
• Bespoke counter designed and built by Gilbert Gregson using reclaimed scaffold boarding, around the client commercial appliances including display fridges
• Custom seating areas created using scaffold boards and scaffold poles
• Refurbishment and fitting of new customer WC

This was a 16-week project that was completed ahead of schedule, ready for the grand opening on 18th November 2017.
